In room 8 we were given a worksheet with sentences to fix by putting punctuation in right places.
One day Mrs Smith asked if we could look after her dog Rover. I said to my brother if mum and dad see how neat it is to have a dog. They might let us get one of our own. Mrs Smith dropped Rover off during the afternoon. We spent hours playing with him. When it came to our bedtime we took Rover outside and tied him to the kennel. He put his ears down and looked longingly at us. “Can’t we let Rover sleep in our bed” we said.
